Obituary

Kathleen Virginia Cobb, 71, a long-time resident of Newport and Providence, RI passed away Tuesday, August 30th.  She was the beloved wife of the late James Harvey.

Born in Sebring, Florida, on December 5, 1950, she was the daughter of the late Lillian C. (Kerney) Luke and Codis Cobb, Jr.

She is survived by two children, Tanya Patrice (Blackson) Gilbert and her husband, Edwin P. Gilbert, and Wayne Lawrence Blackson, Jr. and his wife, Monica Blackson; three sisters, Patricia M. Lyons and husband, Frank Lyons, Jr., Lisa Jackson, and Vonda of Florida.  Kathy has ten grandchildren, Shakiyla Covington, Quincy Gilbert, Angelique Cooper, Tori Gilbert, Symone Gilbert, Akaysja Stanfield, Jordan Blackson, Andrew Blackson, Codis Blackson, and Jayden Blackson.

She also leaves five great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, her church families: Crosspoint Church in Newport, RI and Mishkahn David Messianic Synagogue in North Smithfield, RI, and a host of relatives and dear friends.
