Ralph “Chico” Taylor, 69, of Providence, RI peaceful drifted into eternal rest, on November 23, 2019. Ralph was born in Providence, RI on November 19, 1950. He was the son of Barbara (Prout) Price and the late Ralph Taylor Sr.
Ralph was educated in the Providence Public School System. He attended Central High School, where he was a star basketball player. Once Ralph graduated he enlisted in the Marine Corps where he was stationed in Okinawa, Japan.
Ralph was a Human Relations Specialist at Hope High School in Providence for 20 plus years. He also dedicated his time to working with the youth in his community and made a huge impact on their lives.
Ralph enjoyed listening to music, painting, exercising, golfing, traveling, playing his guitar, spending time with his family and friends. He was also an animal lover and an avid hunter. At any event where there was music you could find him on the dance floor, doing his signature moves. He also loved playing the guitar and anytime he could get a jam session in with family or friends he would.
Ralph was a people person and had an infectious smile. Anywhere he went people usually gravitated towards him. He always took time to lend a helping hand, a listening ear and gave good advice when needed. He also had a knack for storytelling. If you sat around him long enough he would tell you one of his famous stories where he would imitate all the voices and act out all the parts.
Ralph loved the lord. Every Sunday you would find him in the sanctuary giving thanks to God. He brought up his children and grandchildren in the church.
Ralph was a loving son, husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend.
