Steven Craig Washington

Steven Craig Washington passed away unexpected at the age of 49 on September 1, 2019 in Bangor, ME.

Steven, affectionately known as "Toot", was born January 10, 1970 in Providence RI. He was the son of the late Delores Marcene Washington Isom and George Arthur Brown (Kayo).

To cherish his memory, he leaves behind sons, Steven Mitchel, D'Andre Matthews, and Noah Washington. Brothers, Sterling Washington (wife Robin), Shea Washington (wife Erin), Gordon Smith (wife Diane), George Lindsey (wife Kim), Tyrone Lindsey, Jason Smith, George Botelho, and EJ Dordain. Sisters, Elizabeth Moten, Georgianna Moten, Lynette Lindsey, and Tarina Botelho. He also leaves behind loving aunts, Bertha and Toni Washington, Uncles Sterling and Harold Washington,cousins Robert, Lee and Michael Washington all of Providence. Steven was also the uncle of many nieces,nephews and also great nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Clifford Moten and Geneva Moten.

Toot was well known for his love of sports but his all time favorite was football. Most of his family and friends remember Toot playing for the West Elmwood Intruders as a kid. His presence was felt as soon as he entered any room and his smile would brighten any ones day. Although we understand that life goes on after losing a loved one, his physical presence will leave a void in the hearts of all of who knew and loved him but the memories that we all have of the times spent with Toot, will last infinitely.
