Clara Lee Morris

Clara L. Morris, of 1 Valley Street, Providence, died peacefully on Sunday, April 2nd, at Oak Hill Health and Rehabilitation Center in Pawtucket.

Born in Pickensville, AL. She was the daughter of Nelson (Catherine) Fant of Flint, MI and the late Annie L. Morris.

She resided in Columbus, MS before moving to Rhode Island in 1964. Clara graduated from Roger Williams University with a degree in psychology, she also worked for the VISTA program for the Providence public schools. Clara was saved in THE Church of the Lord Jesus Christ of the Apostolic Faith. A member since the early 70’s. She also worked faithfully as a Deaconess and was a light of the Church for many years.

Clara is survived by seventeen siblings, Perry Hughes Jr of Alabama, Arthur Hughes (Sandy), Willie-Mae Miller, Ada Garrett, John Hughes and Michael Morris of Providence and Victor Morris of Woonsocket. Nelson Fant (Yvonne) of Palmdale, CA, Terrell Moncrief of Newton, MS, Yolanda Fant of Fairview, TX, Denise Anderson (Willie) of Sacramento, CA, Alberteen Fant of Mobile, AL, Leo Fant, Jacqueline Fant and Angela Fant, all of Flint, MI.

She was preceded in death by brothers Albert Hughes, Johnny Fant, Melvin Fant, Leon Fant and Jimmie Edson.
