Larry Donnell Smith was a trusted, loyal, good friend to the end of his rich full life that unfortunately ended far too soon. We met Darnell years ago through our brother-in law, Bosco Taylor and from then on we treated him like one of our family members. We will miss him, but take comfort in knowing that he is now resting in peace up in Heaven. We are grateful for the memories we shared when he graced our lives and we thank GOD that we had the pleasure of being good friends with Larry Donnell Smith. We want to express our sincere sympathy, and heartfelt condolences to his wife, children, family and friends on the loss of a person who really will be missed. With Peace & Love from Richard & Allene Maynard of Providence, R.I.

I was just a friend, someone he would see from time to time.
when I was young, my older sister and her, friends were friends with Donnell.
As I got older I would run into him, here and there in Providence, we have a mutual
friend we both knew well,(Kevin Shape) Anyway Donnell was and will always be one of them very special people that could light up your heart with his smile, and specific way he made you feel. I will miss him, and see him again, when its my turn to see our maker.
Peace by with you
Brother.

I seen Donnell about a month ago in Lowes, he got my attention by yelling across the store "HEY TIMBO" as he did every time he seen me, I hadn't seen Donnell much in the past few years, So I am very thankful to God for the chance meeting we had that day, we talked for a few minutes, and said our goodbyes, little did I know that day would be the last time I would see my friend, Donnell was the most humble, down to earth person I've ever had the pleasure of knowing, no matter how you were feeling, if you ran into Donnell "BIG D" as I used to call him, after talking to him, you some how felt a little better, He had that way about him, Big D You Were A Man Amongst Men, you will be missed by many, May you have peace, and comfort in the arms of Jesus. Until We Meet Again, Rest Easy My Friend.
