We are so sorry for your loss. I spent a summer in Newport RI in 2001 and met Michael with Darlene numerous times & we kept in touch after. He was such a sweet guy, full of fun and kindness. I have such fond memories of him. Thinking of you all every day.

We have been out of town and Colin just told us about Mike's passing. We are heartbroken and send your our deepest condolences. I remember having wonderful, long conversations with him and will always think of him as an outstanding guitar player and friend to our son.

We received a wonderful phone call from Michael last summer. He was getting ready to drive out to California, and wanted to stop by and see us in Ohio. We talked for a long time about my son Rasmus, his friend "Ras", our loss, our love, memories, Michael's hopes and plans for the future, ---he really lifted my spirits!
At this time our hearts ache deeply with yours. Their precious spirits are free, that is what I remind myself of when sadness flows. Wishing your entire family Love and Comfort.

I am heartbroken. Mike was my closest friend in high school. Not one day went by that we didn't speak to one another. Our crazy sense of humor is what drew us closer. We laughed at each other's jokes when others didn't think it was funny. I will miss all the times we made each other laugh. I will never forget you and our memories.

Elliot is my cousin, my name is Gail Washor Liebhaber. We live in Cambridge, MA. We are so saddened to hear this tragic news. We last saw Michael at our son Jordan's bar mitzvah in 1999. Mike is a great guy. He always looked out for me and watched my back. He's a selfless guy and was always looking to make a personal connection with good hearted people. He's one of the most musically talented people I've ever met and I enjoyed our times jamming in my parents' basement. We shared a lot of stories and laughs. I hope to be able to jam and laugh with him again in paradise. I will greatly miss him and his kind heart. I will never forget Mike.
