Roger, I cant begin to tell you how horribly upset your passing has made me. I loved you so very much and will never ever forget you or all of the happy times I shared with you. You were the best friend I have ever had! Everytime I look at the stars, I will think of you. The thing that upsets me the most is the fact that I dont know how you passed away. We lost contact about 9 yrs ago and my son just happened to google your name and saw your obituary on May 18th. I cried all day long for you, my friend. He passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends. He passed from stage 4A Throat Cancer which in turn spread throughout his body.

My condolences to the family. I remember the good times we used to have on Madison street and Calder. Roger got me out of a lot of trouble quite a few times. Jumping on the garage and back wall to save me. Ill never forget. He is my buddy. Then lost track of him and had the pleasure of meeting him again years at his fathers house. I want to share a story: when I was a little kid Uncle Roger brought me and Leslie out for ice cream. Leslie's cone fell on ground and I busted out laughing. Uncle Roger made me give her mine. Then he and Leslie laughed at me. Afterwards he got me another one and we all laughed together hysterically. That was who my uncle was his smile infectious, his laugh would light up the room. My only regret is drifting away and losing contact when he left Florida. He was more like an older brother to me we loved being around each other. I miss him terribly but I am greatful to have these memories and an angel watching down on me. Until we meet up again send Pa and Grandmother my love.

It started as throat cancer but spread throughout. His cancer ribbon is burgundy and white striped. Me and him found his ribbon before he passed because we both planned on getting a tattoo together.
